Thank you for stepping up to be webmaster for this term of the PLC!  Here is a summary of the 3 tasks you are responsible for:

1)  Scoutmaster Weekly Update (update every Sunday!)

When Mr. Kunz sends out his Sunday email, simply copy it and paste it into this google doc:

We have several parents who's email account blocks Mr. Kunz's email so this gives them a place to keep up-to-date on the troop events!

2)  Merit Badges, Service & Leadership dates (update twice a month!)

Use this google sheet to update the important dates on the home page:

** For this sheet, the website automatically inserts the top 4 events on the BT58 home page.  It's your job to keep these top 4 events up to date!

 

Merit Badge Opportunities:

Merit Badge Opportunities come out in Mr. Kun'z email almost every week.  Update the Google Sheet above so scouts know when the meetings are coming up and who the merit badge counselor is so they can get signed up! Also, these two web pages will usually have some opportunities listed from outside the troop:

Service Projects:

Mr Kunz's Sunday email had new service projects from Mrs. Brooks.  Simply delete old events from the google sheet above and update with her new events & links! You should also reach out to Mrs Brooks to see if there are any other service projects coming up that you can add to the list.

Leadership Opportunities:

Several of the events have passed by so you can remove these and shift the upcoming events up. You can also add new leadership opportunities to the list as they come out.  Both Mecklenburg and Old Hickory councils offer high quality leadership opportunities:

3)  Troop Google Calendar

Use this google calendar to update events.  This calendar shows up on the front webpage and is available to add to users phones:

** By default this calendar is "view only", but as webmaster the troop will give you "write permission" so you can add, remove and edit events.  You will need to be logged into your google account to access "write permission".
