March 13 Update from CDB:
Daniel Boone Council is getting ready for another safe, fun and exciting summer camp season at our beautiful Camp Daniel Boone in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We are excited you have chosen us as your destination for fulfilling the promise of Scouting to your young people.
Scouts have the advantage. We prepare. As such, we wanted to share some important reminders as you and your families prepare for camp, please keep your Scouters informed and share the following:
STEP ONE: share this with your Scouting families and encourage them to purchase Travel Insurance to cover their investment. Depending on what state you come from and how much total expenses are for each of your families, travel insurance can cost as little as $19 for a basic package. There are tiered options for coverage and even a premium package will cost your families less than 7% of their total expenses – well worth the protection and providing ease of mind to your Scouters.
Individual Travel Insurance is available through several insurance carriers - and can cover all expenses of your trip including the fees paid to the troop for travel, meals, hotels and camp fees, with no deductible. The purchase Travel Insurance is the responsibility of each individual participating family. No refunds or exceptions will be made due to failure to purchase Travel Insurance. Trip cancellation and trip interruption benefits cover non-refundable, prepaid trip costs if you are unable to take your trip or if you must interrupt your trip due to a list of covered reasons, including sickness, injury, death, quarantine, loss of job, and accident, just to name a few.
You may purchase Travel Insurance from any company you would like, but one option is through a reputable company we have recommended before: Seven Corners Insurance at: https://www.sevencorners.com/insurance/HWKQTS4
